Dissecting your skincare - Moisturize? Hydrate? Why? And with what?
Posted on November 17 2015
Moisturizing your skin is a thing! A big thing! And a thing you must do! To get perfect skin you must moisturize your skin and body both inside and out. Inside is easy - drink water. Outside... well thats where things get slightly tricky. What should be in your moisturizer and what kind of moisturizer should you be using for your face?
Oils - The Good Kind
Look out for oils. Yes people - oil. Rosehip Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Macadamia Oil and Almond Oil etc etc. These are great for your skin and a fantastic moisturizer. If you have more than one in your moisturizer that is great as they generally compliment each other.
- Helps lock moisture in preventing wrinkles
- Generally high in antioxidants to repair damage
- Keeps skin soft
Vitamin E
Besides eating these, Vitamin E should always be present in your skincare. This may already be present in your moisturizer thanks to your oils but a little extra certainly doesn't hurt. Also, Rosehip Oil is full of this.
- Fantastic weapon against aging
- Keeps skin soft
- Great against pollutants
- Repairs skin
Vitamin C
Again, you will find this in your food but adding it directly to your skin acts as a booster to what you eat. Vitamin C is great to boost your immune system and your skin for beautiful radiant skin.
- Helps produce collagen for healthy and firm skin
- Protects your skin for sun damage
The beauties of nature. Its all there. We just need to know what we are looking for!
